A new Pokémon Direct news stream broadcasts on June 6 at 10:00 am ET, Nintendo announced earlier today.
The popular monster battle trainer franchise last received a Direct presentation in February 2016, when Nintendo announced Pokémon Sun and Moon. Although no other details were released for the upcoming Direct, fans speculate the video will contain details of a Pokémon title announcement for the Nintendo Switch.
The live stream, presented by Nintendo and Game Freak Inc, is not expected to address mobile games Pokémon Go or Magikarp Jump, tie-in mobile games developed by partner studios Niantic and Select Button respectively.
Pokémon Sun and Moon, the last major franchise installment, was released for the Nintendo 3DS in November 2016 and has sold 15.44 million copies as of March 31, 2017, according to Nintendo.
You can watch the stream on Nintendo’s site, right here.
